My Dish Sponge Is So “Green” It Sprouted Something Green

While washing dishes tonight, in mid-scrub of a dinner plate, I turned over my Scotch-Brite “Greener Clean”  dish sponge to discover—gasp!—it had sprouted its own green plant life!

photoNow, I don’t think that gives me any points for keeping a clean kitchen or for changing my dish sponge on the regular, but I am going to give myself some serious green thumb points for this. I mean, I grew something and I wasn’t even trying.

I’m taking all the credit for this one.

That looks like cress. It reminds me of putting cress seeds on damp paper towels in egg shells with faces painted on them and waiting for the green hair to grow out of the top.
